After reading the "clean your damn computer!" post we made yesterday, forum member Banditt sent me this picture with the following explanation:
I worked on a PC yesterday and thought you might get a kick out of this. Almost every fan on the machine was locked up due to being insanely dirty. The system would only turn on for a few seconds, show the post screen, and then lock up. After a little poking around I found that the heatsink on the Southbridge was so insanely hot you could have cooked on it. It went into thermal meltdown mode and got the heatsink so hot it burnt a nice ring around the chip. I've seen a lot of burnt cores in my time but never one that left a perfect outline like that.

Having someone use your video without permission sucks, but it isn't really news. Having your video removed from YouTube on a bogus copyright claim sucks even worse...but...still isn't news. Having Jay Leno and NBC gang up and do both to you is news.
Your company NBC just up and blocked our video and claimed that we are copyright infringers! But we are not! We made it! And this is the video that you said you loved! Now, if you try to watch our video (and again this is the video that had nothing to do with you until you used it in your show without asking) on YouTube it's just a big black sign that basically says, "the makers of this video stole this video from NBC, so you can't watch it!" Jay, what in the hell is going on here?

The massive Thermaltake Frio OCK heatpipe HSF is strapped to the HardCoreWare test bench today for some benchmark action. This quote about the design of the cooler made me chuckle:
The fan's design is... interesting... If you were looking for a 'classy' aesthetic like you'd see with a Noctua cooler, you'll have to look elsewhere. But if you want a design that shouts at the top of its lungs that you are one bad ass mofo (as if they couldn't tell from the sound of all the fans in your rig whirring at top speed) then this is the one for you.

Good thing Facebook didn't just pay a billion dollars for Instagram or this new iPhone camera app would seem like a pretty stupid idea. Wait....
The new app is similar to Instagram, the photo-sharing app Facebook is in the process of buying for $1 billion. The acquisition, however, has not yet been completed. Facebook didn't give details on when it might release a version of the app for phones that run on Google's Android operating system.
